I’ve always given my classes at least a fortnight’s notice of a test, but many of them (especially Alevel students) like to be able to plan ahead a little further. Likewise, many students like the “big picture” in terms of how long a topic will last. I poached this idea of having an easy to see chart in my room for each class from my colleague, Jenna. Even if I don’t know the exact date, I’ll just put “mid January”. Editable template above if you’d like a copy. I printed it A3 and laminated it so it’s wipe clean and can be used all year.
